Interstate 295 Southbound
The current southbound beginning of Interstate 295 as it departs the full cloverleaf-interchange with Interstate 95 & U.S. 1. After Interstate 95 relocates onto the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Bristol, Pennsylvania, Interstate 295 sees extension southward along the Interstate 95 from Bakersville southwest to Bristol. Passing underneath Kuser Road one quarter of a mile north of the South Olden Avenue off-ramp at Exit 62. Olden Avenue stems west form Mercer County 533 (White Horse Road) to Arena Drive, Liberty Street, and New Jersey 33 (Greenwood Avenue) just outside of the Trenton city limits. Exit 62 leaves Interstate 295 southbound for Olden Avenue northbound. Olden Avenue merges with Arena Drive 0.4 miles to the west. The surface street enters Trenton and intersects U.S. 1 Business & U.S. 206 (Brunswick Avenue) in 3.3 miles. Traffic to Arena Drive eastbound should take Interstate 295 south to Exit 61A. Connections with Interstate 195 eastbound (Exits 60A) serve both U.S. 206 to Bordentown and the Interstate 95 northbound continuation on the New Jersey Turnpike. U.S. 206 (Broad Street) passes over Interstate 295 one half mile north of Exit 60. Photos taken 10/03/04.
Exit 60 departs Interstate 295 southbound for both the eastbound beginning of Interstate 195 and northbound beginning of New Jersey 29. Interstate 195 meets Interstate 95 & New Jersey Turnpike six miles to the east. The freeway otherwise continues 28 miles from there to Wall Township, the Garden State Parkway, and New Jersey 34. Exit 60B veers northward onto New Jersey 29 north for Trenton and the New Jersey State Capital. The freeway splits with New Jersey 129 (Canal Boulevard) before descending underneath a six-lane tunnel.
