Interstate 293 south & New Hampshire 101 eastbound at the Huse Road overpass, one-half mile west of the directional interchange with Interstate 93. Interstate 293 ends ahead; New Hampshire 101 east merges onto Interstate 93 north for two exits to its own east-west freeway leading toward Exeter and Hampton. Photo taken 06/27/05.
Interstate 293 splits into separate two-lane ramps for Interstate 93. Interstate 93 south travels seven miles to Derry, 13 miles to Salem, and 48 miles to Boston, Massachusetts. Northbound travelers stay east of Manchester to South Hooksett on the 18-mile drive to the capital city of Concord. Photo taken 06/27/05.
Similar to signing practices in Iowa, reassurance markers are posted on the respective ramps of a freeway to freeway junction. Posted on the northbound ramp is a sign for Interstate 93 north & New Hampshire 101 east. The tandem share just two miles of roadway. Photo taken 06/27/05.
Interstate 93 & New Hampshire 101 see a split-diamond interchange (Exit 6) before their partition at Exit 7. Exit 6 serves both Candia Road and Hanover Street in east Manchester. New Hampshire 101 otherwise provides part of the long distance drive to Portsmouth via its connection with Interstate 95. Photo taken 06/27/05.
