Interstate 293 travels south and west of Manchester. The east-west portion shares pavement with New Hampshire 101; north-south travelers follow the free section of the F.E. Everett Turnpike mainline along Interstate 293 between New Hampshire 101 and the northern terminus. Interstate 293's east-west portion was originally signed as Interstate 193.
